One might call this a "How To Manual" for getting along in the world. It is suitable for those of us who are on the path to learning how to grow a beautiful world and are ready to put some serious energy into it. It is also suitable for those of us who experience a sense of disquiet and disease, those of us who are not sure what to do but are aware of something happening around us, in our environment that needs attending.

It is time to get real about healing ourselves and healing the planet. And as big as that might sound for us finite human beings, it is proven that if we can dream it we can do it.

Creating a peaceful planet is about you and me. It is about how we live, work, play together. And how we get along in the process. Can we transcend our differences to create a safe, secure and joyous world for all of us? We are the sum total of the best hope and the biggest dreams the universe can offer.

The buck stops with us. Are we willing to be responsible? Are we willing to be that much for each other? The key to healing the planet rests in our ability to heal ourselves as individuals and as a community. So in this manual we explore how to grow and heal ourselves.

We do not have to start from scratch. There are those who have gone before who have left their wisdom for us to use. Many great people have paved the way for our great work, people like Gandhi, King, Mother Teresa, and Jesus Christ have walked before us and have left big footprints. Our work now is to discern how to use what they have taught us, how to manage our valuable resources to do the great work.

This "How To Manual" is a small contribution to the great effort. It is offered with full confidence and belief that we will succeed. In the words of Susan B. Anthony:
