Organizational Transformation
Imagine an environment in which we explore, embrace and honor the richness of our diversity and the learning afforded by our differences. What could happen if one hundred people could commit themselves to each other and then gather their collective energy to produce, expand, build and create? This vision manifests the best our founding leaders envisioned for our country. And research tells us that it is the best approach to creating highly productive and successful organizations. But often out of fear based perceptions we judge another and ourselves as unworthy. When this happens we lose valuable productive energy that cost both time and money.
The Organizational Transformation model focuses on helping groups and organizations transcend differences that cause separation, dissonance and conflict. The model helps individuals within a group setting to:
- Honor and affirm diversity
- Raise difficult issues with integrity
- Resolve conflict with respect
- Communicate authentically
- Relate with care
Principles:
- People do the best they can with the information they have. Our aim is to introduce sufficient information to support positive change and transformation.
- All people have value and influence
; whatever is occurring is the result of collective participation. It is a situation that we have all helped to create. We seek to focus participants’ existing skills, abilities and resources to achieve more favorable, satisfying and productive outcomes.
Goals:
- To increase participant’s awareness about their perceptions and beliefs that can be a barrier to creating respectful and productive relationships.
- To introduce participants to principles, values and skills that help to create multicultural systems that are just, respectful, and humane.
Method:
- Listening – Participants develop the ability to hear deeply the experience of another and to respect the other’s experience even when it is different from their own.
