Helen E. DannattI attended the University of Delaware as a Music Education major. From 1966 to the present I have been an Information Technology professional in distributed retail, insurance, finance and banking industries. I am currently employed by IBM in Research Triangle Park as a systems analyst, supporting an Integrated Supply Chain application. In 1996 I discovered Jack Canfield's course "How To Build High Self Esteem" and in 1997 I attended his eight-day Facilitating Skills Seminar in California. You probably know him as one of the coauthors of "Chicken Soup for the Soul" and a self-made millionaire. After I moved to North Carolina in 2000, I found my way to the Tapestry Committee at Unity Center of Peace Church and participated as cofacilitator in a series of Tapestry Dinners. I facilitated groups based on "The Artist's Way" and "The Vein of Gold" by Julia Cameron. I was fortunate enough to help facilitate a Community Building weekend for UCP, participate in "Basic Facilitation" at Guilford College with Pat Callair, and "Crucial Conversations; Tools for Talking When Stakes Are High" with Linda Smith. I have the privilege of being Interim President of the Leadership and Empowerment Institute, Inc. in Saxapahaw, NC, Pat Callair Executive Director. I look forward to LEI helping ourselves and other groups overcome obstacles, reach true community and enjoy peak performance. |
